CONTEXT

Scientists rarely help each other. They collaborate a lot on shared projects, but in many cases one only needs help for a concrete task. Finding this kind of help is hard, and helping in this way is hardly recognized.

OUR AIM

To ensure that every scientist who does not know how to do something can find someone who does, and who is willing to help.

OUR METHOD

We offer a service to researchers who need a collaborator for a concrete task that needs specific expertise. We find the right expert, make the contact, and document the process to credit every contribution.

Our workflow

When a researcher needs a collaborator for a specific task, Crowdfight will:

Find an expert with the right skill
Confirm the expert’s suitability and availability
Make the contact to start a direct collaboration between researcher and expert
Credit all contributions

Possible requests:

Share a reagent
Advise on statistics / theory / computation
Discuss a hypothesis
Inform about performance of scientific equipment
Anything that can be solved quickly by the right expert
